AI requires only 2 things: Memory size and memory bandwidth. A Zen 6 type of an upgrade (=staying on AM5 socket) can not change anything in this regard, except maybe officially/guaranteed support for faster RAM, e.g. say from 6000 MT/s to 6400 MT/s. This would increase the AI token generation by 10.67 %. I would never buy these laptops with Intel processors when the new Intel and AMD Zen processors are about to be released.
The latter, with its new microarchitecture and TSMC's 2nm N2 node, guarantees 100% performance. Currently, it's impossible to buy anything and spend a fortune on expensive RAM and SSDs; I'd rather save for the next six months and buy an AMD Zen 6, which comes out with a new microarchitecture focused on AI.
