The hardware is much more interesting than what Synology or QNAP offer, at the cost of a much less mature operating system. Still, especially for those willing to learn or whip up their own, installing any flavour of linux can put this hardware to great use.
The Ugreen NASync DXP6800 Pro impresses with its powerful i5 hardware, fast dual Ethernet, and Thunderbolt 4, but lags behind established competitors in terms of software maturity and RAID features. A NAS for hobbyists and home labs, but also for small businesses.
