And open-weight LLM models are becoming better and better. For privacy legal reasons they are a must.

A desktop PC with same specs would probably be quite a bit cheaper and be upgradable and repairable, tho.

I think the ultra processors can only support a maximum of 256 RAM. And if it could support 2TB of RAM, I think 2TB RAM kits go for approx $12,000.00.

Asus has started selling a new gaming-focused mini-PC. Available internationally, the Asus ROG NUC 16 Edition 20 combines the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus with a GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU in a transparent housing. Asus sells its new mini-PC with up to 128 GB of RAM, too.
