This thing will probably cost an arm and a leg (and a kidney), media will say it's amazing and the best MBP ever, tech bros will jump on it until the next toy drops, and the rest of us will just keep using normal notebooks.

Apple's long-rumoured touchscreen MacBook will reportedly launch with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips rather than waiting for the M7 generation, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has reported. The 14-inch and 16-inch models are expected between late 2026 and early 2027. Beyond the touch display, the new MacBook will bring Dynamic Island from the iPhone, an OLED panel, and a redesigned chassis.
