How is understanding that thanks to AI, prices for components are through the roof is glazing Valve. It's not their fault so I don't understand why you're so salty.

750 was an OK price. 1050, not so much. Just buy a higher specced mini pc and a steam controller at this point, and install SteamOS on it. (Or any Linux distro really)

According to Valve engineers Pierre-Loup Griffais and Yazan Aldehayyat, the price increase the Steam Machine is facing is similar to what happened with the Steam Deck.
