Where's the point in switching from an iPhone to Android when the stock Android is getting more and more closed, packed with unwanted AI, telemetry and data hoarding? Up to date openess of Android was the main reason the people has been chosing it (except money), but when you get better hardware and more fine-tuned software and it's closed as well as the competitor then where's the point of switching to Pixel?

Anyways, ability to install what I wanted to install was the only reason why I've chosen Pixel. When the famous GOS-enabled Motorola comes out I'm getting one. Tbh Pixel itself is a piece of pretty good hardware and it's worth to mention that I've got the cheapest brand-new available option that means 9a.

Switching from an Apple iPhone to an Android smartphone is much easier with Android 17. More data than ever can be transferred automatically and wirelessly, including passwords and passkeys, as well as data from some third-party apps.
