This doesn't track with othe resources and just doesn't make sense. It gets the same wifi score as the Poco x7 pro, with 2,500 mah less? These two hoones practically use the same screen, both LTPS and same DPI. If anything, even at the same capacity, the x8 pro max uses a 3nm SoC meaning it should be even more power efficient.
Youre telling me that the g86 power, that uses a less efficient node size for the SoC, and has 1,700 mah less, gets 8 hours more? Seriously? 40% higher wifi test time, with 1,700mah less and an SoC on a lower node sensinity?
This is the review we've been waiting on for 3 months? Utterly disappointing.
Please, at least redo the test or look into it. It makes no sense.
I don't know what's wrong with NBC's review method or unit but their result is not trending with other sources at all. Battery life is phenomenal on the device.
The Poco X8 Pro Max sets new standards in the mid-range segment with its Dimensity 9500s, 8,500-mAh battery, and 100-watt fast charging. A bright 6.83-inch AMOLED display, IP68 protection, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor round out the phone's total package. Meanwhile, weaknesses are present in its camera and software. Our in-depth review will determine whether the Poco X8 Pro Max truly lives up to its "Pro Max" title.
