Grand-Seiko-Präsident Akio Naito erklärte gegenüber Hodinkee Japan, dass es in der ,,dritten Phase" der Marke darum gehe, Konsumenten zu erreichen, die nicht unbedingt Uhren-Enthusiasten sind. Es wirkt wie ein offenes Geständnis einer Marke, die ihren weltweiten Aufstieg fast ausschließlich eben diesen Enthusiasten zu verdanken hat.
