I'm not sure that this is it, but I'm quite sure that there's an appetite out there for a device that manages to effectively blur the lines between installing and running Android apps and Flatpak apps. Waydroid is decent attempt, but requires some significant setup effort. So do Chromebooks. This device seems to lean in that direction. Googlebooks might be the best prospect.
