Mate, even the garbage switch 2 is doing 120 Hz despite its slow response time panel.

They don't even make any decent 60 Hz native panels anymore. You've to go higher to get to the better displays.

If you're interested in battery life fair enough. But then you should be advocating for better idle power gating on x86 SoCs. This is the real issue. Panther lake shows it can be done. I'm guessing zen 6 will make similar improvements for AMD.

There are no longer any arguments left to go 60 hz anymore. Not when enthusiast desktop monitors are doing 1000 Hz these days. 480/500 Hz is increasingly becoming mainstream and standard for gaming setups.

I know laptops are less powerful, but 120 Hz should literally be bare minimum to aim for even for casual folk by now in year 2026 anyway.

i bet 90% of all buyers dont see any difference in 60 or 120 hz.
and if, most prefer the extra battery hours.
only reviewers here get wet pants when nowadays the screen is still 60hz.

If you recently purchased a Lenovo laptop with a high refresh rate display, then it more than likely shipped at 60 Hz by default. Switching to higher refresh rates thankfully takes just a few seconds.
