Banking apps should work, but... you have to try them, depends on the app. Sadly, I can't guarantee anything. Maybe it would be a good idea to get in touch with both your bank and the Murena team and get some support.
The Murena project has just pushed the /e/OS mobile platform to version 3.6. This update is the first one with Android 16 as its base and comes with improved search capabilities, multiple tweaks and fixes, as well as a much better software center.
