I am a backer that pledged almost $24k withe the project and pledgebox addons..

The kickstarter itself looked ok hence thi initial pledge, although I should have researched more.

The pledgebox offered egpu's which have single fan 16gb rtx5060ti or 12gb rtx5070 gpus (only brand I could find was colorful). I pledged for 2 plus other parts through pledgebox before researching anything... Once I saw that just the gpus retail for 1.5x+ the price of the add on, and without the egpu case and 400w psu I pushed for evidence...

No evidence supplied I questioned refunds as there was no policy prior.. they added policies of a 70% refund several days after paying...

I now suspect its very dodgy but nothing I can do.. pledgebox closed 22nd supposedly so no refunds...

I just did a bit of research on this...

Yeah it looks dodgy as fcuk, not only questions of the keyboard, but its badly 3d printed, the hinges don't make sense, the keyboard will eventually damage the screen,  but the killer feature is the 1 single port - USB-A. You won't be running this thing on that!

This chipset can provide multiple USB4 ports, Oculink, multiple PCIe ports.. yet the proposed devices shows none of those!

Spec wise, the HX 370 is a good choice, I have it in my GPD WinMax 2, and its pretty nuts with 2x 2TB NVMe and 64GB DDR5, it replace my whole gaming rig and laptop..

I've not read the spec of the one in the article, but if its got Oculink, it'll be pretty epic. Though one concern I would have, is trackpad!

I would love this to be a real thing, but there are accusations that the project is fake.  They are fighting with commenters that asking for evidence that the machine isn't just some components picked up from AliExpress and an external machine.

Instead of posting a video they delayed this until after earlybird finishes.

The open questions are pretty huge.  When you add all the extras, it comes out at 1200 USD.

Something is off with this Kickstarter.

Keebmon is a crowdfunded foldable workstation concept that combines a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 PC, a 13-inch ultrawide touchscreen, and a low-profile mechanical keyboard in a single aluminum device.
