i ahgree with X and the other posters in this comment - i can tell we are very similar people. good job fighting the good fight!

this is BY FAR the worst laptop ever built! its mind blowing!!!! first off, it cannot sustain peak power draw!!! that is a FAILURE of design!!! any drop in power draw or clock speed at any point = failure. next, fans?! it is mind boggling to me that dell is still using fans in 2026. don't they see the macbook air??? passive cooling is the new norm. FAILURE.

battery life is VERY bad compared to macbooks air and other laptops too. i don't think its because of the oled because they use oleds on phones and those last for a LONG TIME. also, why is it so heavy??? again dell needs to wake up and look at the macbook air. i will never use a laptop unless it is 0.7kg or lighter!!! and the graphics... their supposed to be good!!! but it doesnt even break 10k in time spy... LOL!!! once again, another failure...

again, thank uyou posters like X and oops and the other guys - thank you for agreeing with me. we need people to know what is good!!! and this is not it!!!

I am not sure if this is the reason that merits an equal store, but an XPS will survive an Expertbook by a magnitude of three.

Web, this CPU + bigger battery should give something else. This is biggest disappointment of the year - something is draining battery a lot (funny haptic touchpad or what?). Instead of being first in CES Dell should make it better and I don't care if this is UEFI, drivers, Windows or something else. From gen to gen we see the same story and now for example 0.8W in standby - what will be next? 5W?

I'm just wondering - why they released it when it seems to be worse in battery life  than XPS13 or Pro Premium 13? (somebody will say, that this screen, but I don't buy it) Generally speaking it was enough to clone some 14" laptops (880g or a little more) or even old Dell designs, but no... They advertise it with almost 40h on video playback or 27h with wifi and boom... 17h in review. Joke.

I am typing this message on a XPS 9570, 8 years old, that has outlived a Zenbook purchased a bit later. Still a good laptop although I am considering a replacement. Currently waiting to see Lenovo's Thinkpads T with Panther Lake and hopefully an IPS panel.

Also, I hope you guys at NotebookCheck get your hands on a XPS 16 with IPS panel. I do have a second Zenbook (no way it is constructed as this old XPS) that I carry with me and I do not like the OLED panel, too glossy, too many reflections, too tiring.

Would like to know if these can charge and run at full power from a generic high-wattage charger. The error message XPS's usually display when not on its own charger has meant I can't roll these out for my office.

It means - heavier than other 14" (many designs have 900g-1kg), without hinges with 180 degrees and with battery life looking worse than for various Lunar Lake designs. Ha ha ha.

I do like the design, the overall size, and the build materials & quality seems decent. Little bit heavier than I would like though.

I do like the fact that it has no vents underneath so it can be easily used on your lap and in bed etc but what those two slits on either side?

Had high hopes for the display but that PWM rate of 240 hz at all brightness levels (together with low brightness) is appalling.
Why don't they offer an optional good quality high resolution non-touch Mini LED/LCD panel like the MacBook Pro or even the  Air. Much kinder on the eyes.

At the current silly prices, especially outside of the US, this is a hard pass for me. Will wait to see what the XPS 13 offers.
