its all about the aspect ratio.
foldable 1:1 phones are totally useless.
after years of idiocy finally some rumours about a useful ratio from apple.
like everywhere huawei has to be the innovator once again -
wish their puraX was an inch bigger unfolded with an aspect ratio of 16:10 like the rest of the visual tech world,
every monitor, every laptop, every tablet, every tv, anything with a screen is 16:9/10 whytf not a single phone of billions of phones on the market. the chance they had with foldables to redeem the situation, and what did they do, the f*cked up big time again.
no idea who came up with this moronic idea to just double the 19.5:1 giant smartphones.

They intend to compete with Apple's foldable by introducing shitty phone wrapped in the Apple's fold design.
ROFL ha ha ha.
Those corporate idiots have completely lost connection with on the ground reality.
Maybe Samsung silicon department didn't raise the RAM price for the mobile department, who knows, but still.

The thing is, nobody, but tech enthusiasts(early adopters) who cares about tech, cares about tech inside in the first place, nevermind.
I already gave uo on Samsung since S24Ultra, which was a renumbered S21U, and so will be S26U.
And Fold 7 when folded is unusable children toy or made for delicate asian fingers and very good eyesight.

Uhm, how does someone copy "Apple's fold design" of a product that doesn't even exist yet and for which no actual realworld leaks exist? Not to mention that Apple is the "slow mother f...r" here seeing this is Samsung's seventh model and even the competition has two or three generations out by now.

It seems it's not Sammy that's lost touch with reality - rather it's the Apple fanboy who has.

The new addition to Samsung's foldable lineup is believed to be a wider aspect ratio book-style phone that is being dubbed the Wide Fold. This phone will likely be a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, possibly even the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
