What you're witnessing in the states is actually a war between jealous oligarchs vying for power and influence. Most citizens cannot afford to leave work to attend a protest for even a single hour let alone days on end. In fact, they'd probably be fired for doing so.
Protests are typically paid affairs organized by one or more oligarchs as a means to further a personal agenda that usually doesn't involve anything you'd hear about in the protest. The protest itself is just a means to move forward policy that supports the interested party's agenda.

TikTok itself is a good example of this. What you were told was that the Trump administration wanted to protect the American public from Chinese spying. The result is that the app is now even more invasive in terms of collecting valuable information on private citizens. Information that is far more valuable than simply providing marketing data to retailers.
You're only ever going to be told what you need to hear in order to support, or otherwise fail to oppose, policy that serves the interest of specific oligarchs or parties of oligarchs.
Americans have been protesting law enforcement shootings for decades on end, but nothing ever actually changes in that respect. These protests are paid for by one group of oligarchs for the purpose of eroding public support for an opposing group of oligarchs.
The only thing on which they work together is their mutual interest in keeping the public believing that they live in a democracy or a republic.
Oligarchs tend toward immaturity. In effect, they're spoiled brats who've never faced a bonafide challenge once in their entire lives. Most of everything they do is driven by jealousy of other oligarchs, inferiority complexes they seek to massage by taking from other oligarchs.
The wars between oligarchs, generally fought by the blind public, are nothing more than jealous rage fueled temper tantrums between self interested hopelessly drug addicted deeply underdeveloped man-children.
