And don't forget about the price - I remember M cars being affordable option for those who wanted Ferrari-like performance in a 4-door saloon. Now they cost almost like Ferrari, but with cheap-feeling plastic interior and tablets instead of real buttons!

They will have learned nothing from the M5 debacle, a grossly overweight car some 600kg heavier than the previous gem. I expect this M3 to be at least 2200kg and in no way will be a sports car at all.

The upcoming BMW M3 will be all-electric and based on the "Neue Klasse" platform. The German carmaker opted for a pretty radical drivetrain concept with four electric motors and a central control unit in order to transfer the brand's characteristic rear-wheel drive dynamics into the EV era.
