Can you guys review the Pova 7 5G? There aren't a lot of decently specced and affordable phones with IPS displays these days other than 1-2 TCL phones that are quite expensive and the Redmi 15 5G which has a rebranded SD695 but an awful camera.
I'm curious how the Pova compares to it and if it's indeed well balanced or not.

I actually had a Techno phone in the past [Pova 3]. It had a huge battery [7000 mAh] though it was chunky and decent wired speeds [33W]for the time. But Hi-OS is bloatware ridden [but then majority of companies' are; almost all Chinese OEM engage in this practise and even Samsung isn't exempt] and worst of all, my phone shipped with Android 12 and never got a major upgrade.

The phone was quite bang for a buck, if you may say so, but if software updates is what anyone prioritizes, they should steer clear of it. Techno also has a foldable that's basically less than half the price of a Samsung but I assume the user experience (software side) on it won't be too well in the long run.

They're mostly focused on African, South and Southeast Asian markets, so it's no wonder why.
Although, didn't they have a dedicated reviewer in India where this phone is officially sold?

Never heard of this company. Small companies have it not easy and don't profit from economy of scale. 250..for less than 300 one can get a Samsung A56 or a OnePlus Nord, which is probably better every way? At least the SoC on the A56 has much newer and faster cores.

Tecno may not be a familiar name in Europe, but it's actually one of the world's largest smartphone makers and even produces foldables. With the Slim 5G, the company offers a super-slim smartphone that aims to rival the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge at a fraction of the price.
