Ok, first it is a 14.5" platform and NOT a 14" platform. :)

Seriously though, 2 SIM & M.2 slots AND a dGPU for < $1000USD?

Good luck finding a decent configuration at that price point.

Oh..right..the iGPU ones are 200-300g less, not the ones with a dGPU. Then the extra weight is absolutely fine and expected.

PS: It weights like 200-300 grams too many for a 14" laptop.

I don't see what would justify the AI suffix in the product name:
- Only 16 GB VRAM (at least its upgradable, but this doesn't count)
- Only 8 GB VRAM

If Acer can fit 2 SODIMM slots AND 2 2280 m.2 slots in a 14" class laptop WITH a dGPU, nobody else has any excuses anymore.
