Einer der wohl größten Nachteile von OLED-Panels im Vergleich zu LCDs sind die Artefakte, welche durch die Anordnung der Subpixel entstehen. Gerade bei QD-OLED-Panels der ersten Generation war Text aus diesem Grund deutlich schlechter lesbar. Mit einem neuen Stripe-OLED-Panel mit 4K-Auflösung bei 240 Hz will LG Display dieses Problem beheben.
