Nonsense. You're just gaslighting a very flawed system; and that's fine for you & the alike; but... what's not tolerated is... you pushing that crap onto others. Refrain from such an agenda; but... you're free to believe your own beliefs, just don't push your... uhm... stuff to others, alright. 😏

Some folks may feel fine handcuffed to a system that fails to understand the difference from a Doritos' bag over a firearm; but, I'll just stick to a peace-of-mind simple life/ecosystem.

It's all a matter of application. Not everyone needs it to identify Dorito bags, in the case of gaming some use cases can be:

1. Voicing 100% of NPCs
2. Giving NPCs more personality, better favorability systems and real life where you can chat with them to get info rather than static option picking.
3. NPC and monster variations (means their looks can have subtle differences)
4. Voice commanding of assistant NPCs
5. More organic plot developments where good ends and bad ends aren't dictated by the designer but left up to the player, a game may even be made impossible to win (not through game mechanics but through general difficulty) and a player would challenge themselves to find a way to make impossible possible

I think too many people are focused on generative AI to replace what we have and lower costs and too little look at the potential it can open up for gaming that was never possible before.

Hideo Kojima, famed creator of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, outlined bold new concepts, including a game designed for weightlessness and another built to train and "delight" artificial intelligence. In an interview, he predicted AI will transform game development within five to ten years, arguing it should be embraced as a practical tool, much like smartphones once were, rather than feared.

QuoteWhen smartphones came out, everyone slated them. But now, there are so many people who can't live without their smartphones. AI is like that.

WTH...?!

Just foolishness!

No Kojima did not just compare a user's smartphone; communication, all media playback, home security hub, financial payments, automated doors/windows lockers/openers, controlling lights/appliances/HVAC... on & on; to Ai hallucinations' SLOP?!?!

Clearly, Kojima is complicit, deliberately, especially him being a push for Ai dominance in a industry that he could benefit from, especially financially/reduced human workforces.

I mean... Ai cannot even distinguish a Doritos bag, folks... from a firearm; but Kojima is on record stating this foolishness?!

Allrriiighty, then! 😏

To be fair, around 30 years ago when I had one of the early smartphones which was effectively a PDA with cellular service, I've had plenty of people question why anyone would want a computer in their pocket. At the time, many people only used pcs for writing word documents and not much else and couldn't fathom social media, watching movies or doing online banking (due to all the movies a lot of people though internet was where hackers live and will empty out your bank account). Simply put, computers were still seen as something geeky and not something every day people use
