The things I like least about Xiaomi are its updates: only every four years, while other manufacturers like Samsung offer seven years of operating system updates and one more year of security patches. The difference is huge and extends the lifespan of Samsung products compared to Xiaomi. Xiaomi should wake up and offer seven years of updates like Samsung does.
Xiaomi is preparing Android 15–based HyperOS 3 updates for 15 of its older Xiaomi and Redmi phones. They won't get the newer Android 16 version, but the core HyperOS 3 features and improvements are still coming.
