That's because NanoSIM cards are smaller than microSD cards (let alone regular SD as you mentioned, even though no Android phones use it), and they made the slot dual-sided so two of them can stack together.
We could've seen memory cards in the size of NanoSIM if Huawei didn't keep it all to themselves.
Ok, why not use the same slot as in S23? There wasn't any problem.
Anyway, it's probably still possible to connect an SD Card Reader and wired headphones via USB though.
Amoled 1-120Hz display means it will be flickering in intensity (VRR, Refresh, Scan, PWM) and perhaps FRC. The phone body borders are still sharp for hands, hopefully a silicon case will make it better.
The hw is almost copied year to year. Only slight improvements if I don't count the removed micro SD card slot and the phone jack.
