Tech consulting firm TrendForce has released a troubling 2026 forecast for PS5 and Switch 2 sales. The memory shortage may compel PlayStation and Nintendo to raise console prices, resulting in lower demand. Sony would struggle to keep the PS6 price reasonable if high memory costs persist until 2028.
