I wonder if it has a 3.5mm jack [did previous models have it?] and/or what exactly is the peak charging speed of this model? Either case, too bad Fairphone isn't available worldwide.

But if something breaks it will cost a lot more to repair and when the battery goes you'll probably have to junk that A56 and buy a second one.  The main sell points of a fairphone are the ease of repairs, durability and sustainability.

I do agree the USB 2 port was a backwards step but given they reduced the cost from the Fairphone 5 to the Fairphone 6, they cut what ever corners they could.

Ignoring everything else: A SoC with the same cores (4x A720 and 4x A520) can be also get in a Galaxy A56 for approx half the price.

Economy of scale is a b*tch.

@Dg what an illuminating comment.  What in particular are you referring to?  I have a fairphone 3 which is five years old and still going strong.  Every other phone I've had, I've been lucky if they lasted three (including my S6 and S9).

The Fairphone 6 has arrived, offering greater sustainability, fairness and repairability than ever before. Our review takes a closer look and finds more than a few pleasant surprises along the way.
