Some of these speculations seem doubtful. For example, the top dial on the current model also is unmarked, except for a single letter "A" (for auto shutter speed selection) so the idea that the dial might be reprogrammable lacks support. Also, the teaser illustration does show a front viewfinder window but not a rangefinder window, so there's no assurance that this is even a rangefinder-focusing camera. Could a hybrid EVF be in the works? It would be funny if they beat Leica to the punch on this concept...
French camera specialist Pixii is the only company besides Leica to offer digital rangefinder cameras. The next generation of Pixii cameras is now in the pipeline and will feature a brand-new design, as revealed in a first teaser image.
