Ok, so what is the state of OLEDs these days? Still require burn-in mitigation efforts? Still degrades over time? Still a massive battery drain?

The whole move to OLED while amazingly beautiful initially when you first purchase reaks of planned obsolescence to me. So I wonder ...what is the state of OLED technology these days? I see so much conflicting information on the web. Honest question!

Given that Lenovo often fit trash tier screens in premium laptops, this is a huge step forward. I may actually give this a look when we get the Panther Lake versions.

Lenovo offers many devices with good OLED screens in 2025, but the brand-new 3.2K OLED is on another level with brightness levels of up to 1,600 nits, AdobeRGB as well as improved efficiency. Is this also a preview for the upcoming MacBook Pro with OLED?
