What nonsense are they speaking? The RPi has always been known for raising prices and poor availability.

As for AI, the RPi is terrible at AI. You can get double the performance with an Rockchip RK3576 vs RPi 5 with BCM2712, you can even get more performance out of Allwinner A733 which can be half the price of the RPi

The RPi doesn't have an NPU making it terrible for AI workloads.

Raspberry Pi has announced new pricing for many of its popular single-board computers. While the Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 remain untouched and the Compute Module 1 is now cheaper, 'insatiable demand' for AI is cited for why the costs of other Raspberry PI SBCs have increased.
