It is all in the wording. The survey asked if people would consider an EV in light of the new monetary incentive. You'd need to be absolutely sure an EV will not fit your needs to not even consider it as an option. Just to look at how much of a deal you can get.

Okay, okay, I gotta say, 1 in 3?! That's... wild. I always assumed it was more like 1 in 10, max. I guess those incentives really DO work, huh? I'm still hesitant, the range anxiety is real. It's like...remember flappy bird? SO addictive but you knew you'd crash eventually. That's kinda how I feel about running out of juice in the middle of nowhere. Still, it's tempting. Maybe my next car... maybe...
