We got used to this now. Capacity on models to be sold in China and India keeps going up, but the global models are stuck around 5400mah due to the UN 20wh per cell capacity limit. The only way forward for us common mortals is for manufacturers to switch to dual cell batteries.
Chinese manufactures have adopted the Silicon-Carbon tech more readily and the new generation of phones coming out will feature massive battery capacities. If the leaks turn out to be accurate, the Xiaomi 16 Pro max could come with a 7,500 mAh battery.
