Disgusting. Also awful: only 60 Hz, and super slow response times of actual 35 Hz (1/0.0285). No dGPU/only slow iGPU and they want 3500 bucks for this?

For this price I expected this to be Strix Halo (which is quad-channel) (with 128GB RAM, ofc).
Literally: A Strix Halo "HP ZBook Ultra G1a, Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395, 128GB RAM, 2TB SSD, .." (LPDDR5X-7467, OLED, 400cd/m², Blue light filter, VRR (48-120Hz), 100% DCI-P3) is 3500 bucks right now.

128 GB RAM are nice for LLMs, but with only dual-channel RAM, the t/s speed will be not so..: Rough calculation for GLM-4.5-Air-Q6_K.gguf (huggingface.co/unsloth/GLM-4.5-Air-GGUF):
tokens per second = (2[dual-channel]*64bit×5600[MT/s]/1000/8)/(12[B active parameters]/117[GB]*99[GB])/2[to match the actual t/s speed]
tokens per second = (2*64*5600/1000/8)/(12/117*99)/2
tokens per second = ~4.4

In terms of words per second, the most common rule of thumb is: 1 token ≈ 0.75 words.
-> 4.4 tokens per second * 0.75 = 3.3 words per second (Strix Halo would roughly 9.4 w/s = 3.3*2/5600*8000 (or use the 7467 value from above)).

The Blitz Ultra 2 14 is one of the very few 14-inch laptops with support for two M.2 2280 SSDs and two removable DDR5 SODIMM modules for a total of up to 128 GB of memory. In return, it's slightly heavier than other models in the size category.
