In Into the Breach versucht eine Gruppe von drei Mech-Piloten, die Erde vor insektenartigen Außerirdischen zu retten – dank Zeitmaschine so oft, bis es geklappt hat. Dabei bietet das rundenbasierte Roguelike-Strategiespiel ein sehr komplexes System, das deutliche Parallelen zu Schach aufweist.
