Das Turnier heißt Pokémon World Championships und war in Anaheim. Hawaii war voriges Jahr.

Pokémon Champions setzt auf klassische Stadionkämpfe und soll die künftige Plattform für die offiziellen VGC-Turniere werden. Überraschend ist dabei das Geschäftsmodell: Laut der Pokémon Company erscheint das Spiel ,,Free-to-Start" – doch was genau dahintersteckt, bleibt unklar.
