Oh dear. How is it that the 2nd generation has better support for audio than this? HDMI 2.1 but only caps out at 4k 60? The lack of proper dolby vision. Are Xiaomi even trying at this point? I will stick with my nvidia shield.
Seriously?! Are we still in ~2002 here?! Clearly, this device doesn't support full *fluid* local streaming and Xiaomi fails to mention which Dolby Vision profiles this thing supports; which it could mean, most likely it only support streaming services fake Dolby Vision (p8) and not TRUE Dolby Vision (FEL/p7) profile.
Just saying "we support Dolby Vision" is part of marketing trickery; if Xiaomi supported all DV profiles... Xiaomi what have stated such... fast, especially today.
Edit: I see this thing only supports Dolby Vision p5, that's even worse (only a few displays support p5 over p8). Wow!
Xiaomi has released the TV Box S (3rd Gen) in some European countries. Expected to roll out to more markets in the near future, this model is said to be more powerful than its predecessor, the TV Box S (2nd Gen). Features include Google TV, support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio, and an HDMI 2.1 port.
