Getting rid of that solar oven on the roof and replacing with some insulation and steel seems like a huge upgrade to me. That's one thing about Tesla's I always hated and one reason I would never buy one. Of course just getting rid of that doesn't fix the electronic reasons that I wouldn't have one.
While not immediately clear if it will have a shorter wheelbase, the upcoming affordable Model Y does seem to offer less legroom. Its design and interior has also been stripped of a lot of bells and whistles present in the Juniper refresh.
