Stuff like this is why I'm switching to Linux and also self-hosting what I can. So tired of big greedy corps and the way they ruin their services just to make some rich shareholders even richer. Plus, if I kept staying on the windows path, I'd hate trying to hack my own computer just to even partially customise my own experience, and also I'm worried about future OS versions being even worse or entirely turning into a big subscription of some sort. I refuse to support #enshittification
My personal experience with Win11 is that it is definitely slower and less snappy than Win10; be it on older hardware and even on brand new hardware.
I'm not sure how they messed up the GUI on Win11 so much to have a sluggish right click, an even slower "Win + space bar" (instant on Win10, takes 1 second on Win11, which might not seem like much, but... it's just ridiculous how slow it is), and add to that that, things that used to take a couple clicks now take a ton of clicks.
I'll install Win11 on my Framework Desktop when it arrives because there might be things that will only work on Windows... but I'm going to dual boot it with Bazitte and will probably use that as my main OS. Win11 is just a terrible disaster of an OS.

All one have to do to confirm MS's bias claims is - just open up file explorer in W10, reboot 3x minimum then, open up file explorer in W11, repeat above... regardless of hardware... and one will quickly confirm that MS is just spitting damage control nonsense... again... about its failed W11 crapware.
A new Microsoft blog post suggests a massive performance boost after a Windows 10 upgrade to Windows 11. Sadly, the Geekbench 6 test used to support the claim includes older and newer Intel CPUs. With other benchmarks yielding less impressive results, some gamers are hesitant to install Windows 11.
