you know.  you really should comment about the Memoria mod.   That is essentially a remake of FF9 in itself.

With many Square Enix games reimagining classics, fans thought a Final Fantasy 9 remake was inevitable. Sadly, the 25th anniversary of the RPG may not include a reveal for the PS1 title. A trusted insider claims that, as of a month ago, the project was in danger of being canceled.
