I'd say that the label is the least important part of the mandate.

As a consumer, thank you, EU.

I can't say the same about the disastrous policies the EU is doing with EVs though.

The European Commission's new Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations for most mobile devices sold come into effect today (June 20, 2025). They are intended to make information on smartphone and tablet reparability, sustainability and durability more available to the consumer, mostly in the form of new Energy Label stickers to be issued with every new device sold in the bloc.
