They leave you with a bunch of prebuilt images as dubious as they're ancient (great for WAN-facing routers!) full of barely documented unofficial vendor patches. Credulous buyers then have to pray that years later upstream volunteers like frank-w pick up the tab.

I wish I hadn't bought their R4 and found out the hard way.
