Despite these advancements, some users and reports have labeled it as disappointing due to its high cost, limited exclusive games, and other factors, while others praise its technical capabilities.

I want a PS5 pro I really do. The cost is not a barrier. I will buy one when my local store has a disc drive to go with it. I live in regional NSW, Australia where even the simplest update can take hours to download. Digital only is not feasible for some of your users Sony. Not to mention the large physical game collection that I already have.

As others, I don't get where all the 'doom & gloom' is coming from ether. While surely there is a SUBSECTION of the market where 'if you build it, they will buy it' (because they CAN) which could easily apply to the PS5-Pro and the Nvidia 50xx series video cards, the other market segments are seemingly tighter with their cash.

Inflation is hitting the Game development costs and PC graphics cards HARD. Only time will tell how inflated (or NOT!) the Switch2 will release at however it surely will be much much less expensive than a PS5-Pro.

Well, the console is basically useless so that's no surprise. It costs twice as much as a PS5, has no disc drive, and offers a graphical upgrade to a couple dozen games out of the box but has had no change to that roster since launching, and no indication that more will be added later. How did they expect the console to do well when they basically abandoned it?

I don't get why people keep saying this. Like if you're only interested in playing PS4 era games but wish to play them at higher FPS (60+ vs 30 fps), isn't it the obvious choice?

I also don't get how it's in shambles but pc isn't? Like a platform where the average higher end GPU is $1000 and budget GPUs are like $500 now (while still being bless with shader stutter) isn't shambles? Since many games are cross platform now, every platform is pretty similar besides Nintendo that do their own thing.

If you wanna be a pessimist at least be or stay consistent and don't pick sides. Say the entire gaming industry is in shambles and I'll 100% agree.

No surprise here. There's no big game for the ps5 pro. Most of the games that get a real advantage, people have already played through to 100% so there's no real incentive to play through again for slightly better framerates. New adopters may be picking up the pro, but again, there's been no big releases to draw new customers in the recent months.

It seems the biggest advantage comes to the PSVR2, but Sony did what Sony always do with premium hardware addons and forgot it exists.

People are suffering fatigue from these planned upgrade consoles. It's only real hope is GTA6 and by then, everyone is waiting for the PS6.

Makes me wonder if a console solely based on time limited exclusives can survive the market moving forward. Microsoft have changed gameplans to not use the xbox as its main platform, and Nintendo have full exclusives, not limited.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is selling considerably less than its predecessor. For Sony, this may be problematic on a business level, but should not pose a major problem in absolute terms.
