For me, this laptop has a lot of potential, as it offers the option to upgrade to the latest technology, something no other manufacturer can provide anymore. Acer offers numerous upgrade options. The RAM is housed in two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots. The SSD (M.2 2280) and Wi-Fi card (M.2 2230) are also modular and replaceable. Updating these three options means you can have the laptop for the next 10 years without any problems. Additionally, this AMD processor has a fingerprint sensor on the power button and an NPU based on the XDNA architecture for AI inference tasks. I hope they don't raise the price; it will be sold out in all stores.
Acer is not well known for its business laptops, but why? Acer's TravelMate P4 TMP414-42 shows that Acer does know how to make good laptops for the productive use. In our review, it does good thanks to the AMD Ryzen 5 and a bright, matte screen as well as nice input devices.
