As anyone who regularly mows a lawn of any significant size can attest, the true obstacle for mowers (manual, gas, electric, AI, etc) are rocks that are at the grass level, on an uneven surface. This is not something I see an "AI" or "mapping" really tackle. This will tear up your blades quick if they aren't avoided. I'm not exactly sure how automatic mowers can even detect this, as many rocks are just under the surface of dirt, and would be fairly undetectable.
It's cool and all, but at 4-5 times the cost of a manual mower, will just stick to my hourly routine. Meditative!
Or, you could flatten your entire lawn (my neighbor did this,) and this solves the rock problem. His lawn does look pretty. But impossible where I am as we're on a hill.
The Mammotion Yuka 2025 wireless robotic lawnmower can both mow the lawn fully automatically and optionally collect leaves and grass clippings. Additionally, it offers many other exciting (and in some cases new) features, as our Mammotion Yuka test shows.
