In Spain, there are few charging points, and in the rest of Europe, charging an electric car almost costs more than a gasoline car. Europe is sinking, and with the arrival of Chinese electric cars, both Mercedes and VW are losing thousands of sales and putting many workers out on the street.
What are you basing this on?
"Up until March 2025, battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 15.2% of total EU market share, signifying an increase from the low baseline of 12% in Q1 2024. Hybrid-electric vehicles surged, capturing 35.5% of the market and remaining the preferred choice among EU consumers. Meanwhile, the combined market share of petrol and diesel cars fell to 38.3%, down from 48.3% over the same period in 2024."
If you want Spain specifically, BEVs made up 4.6% in Q1 2024 and in Q1 2025 it is up to 6.9%. PHEVs and HEVs are also up.
