Compared to x64-Windows - yes.

Compared to ARM-Windows, software and driver functionality are similarly restricted for my use. This leaves the terrible file management and missing Safari bookmark saving / export as major iPadOS drawbacks besides the usual Apple contempt for the endconsumers, but Microsoft tries to catch up on the latter.

Great, even more MS stuff I don't need to buy cuz my Apple-refurb M1 iPad lets me keep in the same OS umbrella for everything I use except for my desktop Windows gamer.
If only there was a 2-in-1 MacBook Air.

No ARM version with cellular?
Pass.
There are better options out there that are cheaper and have better features, TBH.
Yeah better options are there. Grabbed an iPad Pro M4 cellular. Perfect.
iPads definitely aren't better. iPadOS is a joke compared to windows.

Exactly this, 12" still makes it slightly out of reach of the 10" form factor I use for travelling, plus the x86 Surface Go still has better software compatibility over Arm.

Looks like no fan vent on the back panel so that's cool. Allows it to be thinner as the Surface Pro 11 is .37" thick. I wonder if it weighs less. I assume they are positioning it as more of an iPad competitor.

A reliable leaker has confirmed that Microsoft will soon be selling a 12-inch version of the Surface Pro. Launching early next week, the Surface Pro 12" trades various features found on the larger Surface Pro 11 for a smaller footprint and a presumed lower price point.
