IMO, the real issue is that the majority of emu devs on android seem to be playing the victim hood mentality card way too much.

Quote from: gsnizzle on Yesterday at 18:45:49I'm probably missing some context

You're. From the Reddit thread:

"It drops several google updater files, creates new processes everywhere and injects into other processes. There's no reason for a 3d test to create any files at all. Especially inject into other processes."

That should not be happening. Struggling to think of any excuses to justify such behaviour.

He doesn't owe anyone the source code (which I believe is on GitHub anyways). He doesn't owe anyone anything as it's not a paid product. I'm probably missing some context as only a casual winlator user but when a dev gives their work away for free people gotta cut them some slack. That said, he really shouldn't give a s*** about people complaining about stuff esp if it's untrue.

He could just acknowledge the virus and apologize whether it's intentional or not.
But instead he tries to gaslight everyone by implying the virus doesn't exist and it's just smear campaign.
And he said he works alone? That's literally his own fault for not publishing the source codes for recent versions so even if people want to audit or contribute they simply can't.

Well, it wouldn't be a true android emu without having such drama and ending, am I right?

What I find truly interesting is the fact that if we took a moment to roleplay for a sec and reverse roles. Imagine if we had a emu on windows and the developer was accused of similar accusations and attacks.

Would it go on a hiatus and pause development indefinitely? Honestly?

Highly unlikely. It's almost becoming like a cliché at this point.

I mean, who's gonna pause development on the windows platform because someone managed to get themselves a virus? You'd literally be pausing every single day, lmao. That's no longer an app or user issue. Windows by default as a platform is literally that insecure.

It is really sad to hear this message, because this emulator has helped me complete many of my favorite PC games on my smartphone. I wish he would forget those haters and return to the project, because we really need him and love him.  He may not know how far his name and project have reached—it is worldwide, and we all need him. So please, BrunoSX, forget the few haters and come back to the project to help us worldwide
