kirin 9020 used 6nm smic. Meanwhile, SMIC is still developing 4 or 3nm fabrication, we still don't know what generation of Kirin SoC it will use

Xiaomi's first-ever self-developed smartphone SoC has overcome a major hurdle. It has taped out in an unspecified 3 nm node, meaning it will enter mass production soon and potentially launch next year.
