Weird how the US FMV has complex regulations for adaptive headlights but nothing about color of the LED used, and morning about trucks and jeeps which are the worst offenders? And bring about lifted vehicles required to adjust or change headlights? And if they do why are they not going after shops that do the conversions? We could have LED at 4500 natural white get the same benefits instead they are all 8500 bight white which is blinding??
But adaptive headlights that solve the bonding issues a bit better we have regulations for that. Send line Ford etc all paid to make that harder so they did not need to design install etc. At least Europe seems to want to do the right things for people sometimes.

Tesla is improving the current batteries a lot but they still have to make a further jump to 600 miles.

It's funny to me how everyone keeps referencing a 600mi. Battery. Where did the idea come from that 600mi Battery is the unwritten goalpost for ev manufacturers. And why does everyone assume this will need technical advancement to achieve. It's really as simple as putting more cells in their current design and the MY Battery compartment isn't full. It could be done relatively easily.
It would unnecessarily increase the cost of the car and negatively impact performance for something you don't need, but if the public keeps demanding it I could see tesla offering maybe  a touring edition for the wealthy.

Except.... They don't NEED 600 miles of range.  What's the point?  So everyone can say "oh, it has 600 miles of range, but takes 50+ minutes to fully charge"?  The amount of times MOST people ever need more than 300 miles of range in a single trip on an extremely regular basis  is very low.

Current state of automatic high-beams: High beams blind people in oncoming traffic, and then turn off.

Not the most intelligent or safe.

The 2026 Model Y Juniper facelift comes with Tesla's matrix headlights that will launch with adaptive high beams software that automatically turns pixels off in a pattern when a car approaches so as not to blind its driver.
