If you don't know the difference between ionizing and non-ionizing radiation you have no business writing this article. It's embarrassing. Everyone involved should be embarrassed.

If you need this I hope to goodness you know that you need it and how to use it.

I have a radioactive Superfund site near me. Obviously monitoring environmental background radiation is relevant...

It's scientifically inaccurate and intellectually dishonest to state that a Geiger counter is used for measuring non-ionizing radiation, such as cell phones, wifi, etc.

That is not what Geiger counters measure. They count particles and rays, not fields.
