Not sure what to think of this - is it actually "news" at all?

Apple already has a 'game center' which has ALL the features that were mentioned other than any monthly cost.

Unreal and a few others already have the ability to export cross platform games to almost anything with a processor in it, the mentioned games along with "MIR4" and a few others come to mind.

What Apple is really after here is another reoccurring revenue stream to tap into.

According to reports, Apple wants to make iOS more attractive for gamers. A gaming app as a central point of contact for gamers could primarily promote social interaction, but also make game management easier and provide useful functions.
