Google can't do watches. This will lead to the eventual demise of the Pixel Watches, too.

Another one on Google's graveyard, and I feel Pixel Watch will follow it soon enough.

This moves only shows that Fitbit were still selling more than their failed Pixel watch. And I assume closing down the brand will only drive more people away to Garmin/Samsung rather than buying a Pixel.

It seems Google is not able to understand how to market two different brands at the same time.
At the end, perhaps this is a win in the long run, since it means Google will leave a pretty big chunk of the market to other companies and they will stop collecting all that info

Fitbit.com is shutting down tomorrow, October 1, according to a banner on the website. Instead, a link offers to redirect visitors to "Shop Fitbit on Google Store". This development follows confirmation from Google that the Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 will be the last smartwatches from the popular brand, with Pixel Watch taking centre-stage in the future.
