So there are some cases of Ryzen 6 processors having 8 cores & 16 threads activated rather than the normal specced 6 cores & 12 threads.  This must be an error on behalf of the supplier, because I would have thought it would be illegal to just increase the number of cores on an existing product - it's not the correct specification of the product that the consumer expected to buy.  This is an error on behalf of the supplier right, they couldn't have wanted to have put 8 active cores into these Ryzen 6 CPUs?

Korean reports point out to the existence of 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 5 1600/1600X CPUs. Benchmark results indicate that these CPUs are essentially US$200 Ryzen 7 1800X variants.
